Landing Craft Rubber Large (G12)
An inflatable rubber boat that carried a squad ashore, paddled by hand. The United States Marine Corps and the Army used the LCR(L) from 1938 to 1945, mostly for raids, reconnaissance landings and crossings where a powered landing craft would draw too much water or too much attention. Ten men was the practical load.
