Capitals matter here. A DR is a Dice Roll, both dice summed; a lower-case dr is a single die roll. ASL rolls one white and one colored die together, and rules routinely ask for just one of them, so the shorthand has to distinguish them. Original DR or dr means before modifiers; Final means after all of them.
