Armored Personnel Carrier
A vehicle meant to carry infantry forward rather than fight for them. Most British APC are carriers, and the Indian Pattern Carrier Mk IIA shown here is one of the odder ones: it’s wheeled, not tracked, built in India on Canadian Ford running gear with locally made armor plate. It did the Universal Carrier’s jobs, hauling an LMG or anti-tank rifle crew.
