Thanks for another great conversation. I don’t think the gatekeeping is unique to ASL, it’s really an internet problem in general. The same people who gatekeep would probably come across as the nicest person you’ve met face to face or you’d know to avoid them based on their demeanor.
When it comes to the various forums and discord I tend to be an observer rather than participant in the conversations because I don’t want to be attacked for an opinion or comment, honestly life is too short for that.
Finally, one suggestion, maybe you could have a small segment about any ASL news or tournaments coming up. Maybe this doesn’t in you vision for the show and that’s fine too.
Keep the conversation going and I appreciate the work you guys are putting into the show.
Thanks Brad. I think your comment was meant for Episode 4, but that’s ok. 😁 There are MANY ASL things we could talk about, but we’re trying to keep the show short and simple so it will be an ongoing weekly thing. The more we add to it, or the more preparation required, the less likely we will maintain it. Kind of like the Friday Night Tactical livestreams we started awhile back. So while we may mention random ASL stuff from time to time, we still going to focus on the topics we add to the Wheel of Chaos.
No worries Neal, I get it and again thanks for taking the time to do this, I learn something every time I listen.
