The bridge at La Fiere carried the road from Ste. Mere-Eglise across the Merderet River and was the main objective of the 101st Airborne’s 1st Battalion, 505th Regiment. After a successful drop, they set off for their objective a mere 1,000 yards away – only to be met with machine gun fire from a farm on the outskirts of town.

ASL AAR: A Quick Strike (WO18)

ASL Yanks Pre-order
Multi-Man Publishing has put Yanks up for preorder. This printing is essentially identical to the 2016 printing, so it is basically a straight re-print. If you don’t have a copy of the update Yanks I highly recommend that you preorder a copy as it likely won’t be available again for 5-10 years once this reprint actually begins to ship (likely a year from now).

Steutzpunkt Vierville (CH4)
One of ASL’s attractions to me is its historical relationship with WW2. I’ve read a lot of books about WW2 and of course, D-Day is one of the big moments in the war. I was able to visit the five beaches of that battle and see lots of artifacts from that time.
