Curt Schilling, of Multi-Man Publishing, hosted another roundtable discussion with members of the ASL community. The 4th MMP roundtable discussion, again hosted by Curt, gives more updates on upcoming ASL releases (including tentative dates). Then he discusses the importance of understanding setup limitations, victory conditions, and SSR. Misunderstanding even some of these during setup/play can lead to defeat.

Watch the video and check out the summary below for all the details.

Big thanks to Curt & MMP for allowing us to share this!

Here’s a longer summary of the discussion contained in the video:

  • Product Updates*:
    • MMP will be at 80th anniversary of Arnhem and will put out a 4 scenario Action Pack commemorating the battle. All proceeds will go to Arnhem veterans. Some scenarios are tournament sized. Mid September 2024.
    • ASL Journal 15 should be ready for ASL Oktoberfest (ASLOK). October, naturally.
    • Doomed Batallions reprint delayed due to printer problems outside of MMP’s control. Just missing a few things like a couple counter sheets, then will be ready to ship.
    • eHASL and updated Pocket RB. The electronic HASL RB will link to the eASLRB (think I understood this correctly), and will include all previously published HASL. Including Decision at Elst (ASLK).
    • Trying to get ASL back into the World Boardgame Championships. Looking at giving ASL winner ASL products for life.
    • Winter Offensive. Marco Polo Bridge HASL should be available. Separate SKUs for ASL and ASLK versions so MMP can gauge the market for SK products. Early 2025 (January?).
    • “White Death” Finnish HASL in the works, might have two SKUs as well. That implies there might be a SK version (?).
    • Ponyri HASL done, will come out during Winter Offensive. January 2025.
    • Polish Eagles HASL. Early 2025 release.
    • Karkov in Flames HASL. Early 2025 release.
    • Basic Training magazine, WO release. January 2025.
    • Chef-du-Pont HASL (followup to DZ:SME), “done”. Likely a floater module if something is pushed back it will get plugged into the release schedule.
    • Spanish Civil War HASL. Likely a core module. Mid-2025 release.
    • Four Bridges HASL. Redo of Pegasus Bridge, Primisole Bridge, Arnhem, Ponte Grande.
    • Bill Cirillo working on another HASL, and TOTR magazine.
    • Red Barricades SASL (yes, solitaire ASL module).
    • SASL reprint still in the works.
    • Looking at different printers outside the US to keep prices in check. MMP acknowledges that domestic printing prices are getting out of hand, drive up their prices. European direct distributors being looked at to make ASL easier to secure for people over seas.
    • Contested Lands still on hold per Hasbro’s request. Political climate type decision.
    • Fox and the Rats, DTO, Curt Shilling design. Might be broken into two DTO HASLs.
    • Rotterdam, 2025 release (no more specific than that).
    • Vietnam ASL is being explored.

*Title of listed products are preliminary and only reflect titles provided in previous updates. We probably won’t know the final title of any product until we see it on pre-order with final box artwork.

And as always … Thanks for the support!!
