Do you remember the first time you saw Avalon Hill’s Squad Leader either at a store or at a friend’s house? I do … well I sort of do. Fantasy and science fiction, things like Advanced Dungeons & Dragons, Traveler, Metamorphosis Alpha, maybe even some Runequest. Some old Steve Jackson games like GEV, Ogre, Battle Suit, Warp War, Melee … things like that. I grew up very poor, had no money, and had to be very selective with what I bought.
