Remember ASL GAP? Maybe ASL SLAP (was that what it was called)? Clunky tools that assisted you with some of the mechanics of playing ASL? Yeah, I don’t remember them much either. But it’s 2025, not 1988. We live in a world of cloud computing, sophisticated browsers with Javascript, CSS rendering, and AI that can automate mundane tasks. Time to drag ASL tools into the 21st century!

To that end, I’ve been working on the ASL Academy Command Post for a few months now, and I could conceivably keep working on it incognito for months or even years. But I’m not going to do that. Time to make the site live and work on it as a living project.

Please use the bug reporting tool in the CP to help me squash bugs, and the Feedback tool to make suggestions.

Just a little disclosure statement. The things I do for the ASL game are done for free, to make the game more enjoyable and accessible for everyone. I do it because I love the game, not because I’m trying to profit from the ideas of others. I will never hide ideas, information, or tools from ASL players. ALL aspects of ASL should be open to ALL players. From learning the basics of ASLSK, to designing your own scenarios and/or boards.

To that end, the ASL Academy Command Post is FREE to use, and will forever be free to use.

Academy Out!

    • You’re welcome. I hope more people discover it and use it, otherwise it will have felt like a bit of a waste of my time. 😆
