Catalogue for Overlays with Vissual Reference ?

Post by Kopfdorfer »

As the title suggests - is there a catalogue available with the Overlays , their identification , and the art
either as some kind of pdf , or within the VASL engine that I haven't already found somewhere ?

Thanks

http://www.texas-asl.com/overlays.htm

I'd like to add something like this to this website eventually, but it's a lot of work.

Thanks for the link, Neal. Helpful.
In the original SL Overlays ( likely CoD since that was where you got Board 6 ) , there was one to cover the Chateaux
building on board 6 with a mixture of open ground and single hex woods , shaped exactly like the building.
I can't find that in the images at the link you posted. Is it possible that all the original SL ( CoI , CoD , GI ) Overlays have been left out ?
If so , is there also a library of those ? Useful for VASL since many of the original Scenarios have been souped up for ASL.

Thanks again for the quick response.

Overlays weren't introduced until G.I. Anvil of Victory. You can see what they look in the images area here: https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/529 ... er-gamette

Yes if you look at the very bottom overlay it is the one I was referring to ( covers the Chateau on Board 6 ).
Looking online at Boardgame Geek , apparently those old original overlays are now included in
Rivers to the Reich.
I couldn't find their individual IDs , though it seems they were originally named overlays
A - O.
I don't have Rivers to the Reich , so I can't check.

A couple ASL Annuals/Journals have them catalogued.
