Re: B8.4 etc - Sewer Movement
1) yes, the unit must move, they cannot remain motionless in the same sewer hex. 2) no defensive fire by sewer units except vs adjacent sewer units (manholes adjacent) 3) definite issue and there is QA that covers this: B8.2 & B8.3 - Can a unit in a Manhole Location fire during PFPh at a unit in a S...

Re: A12.3 - Firing at HIP units or empty hex
congrats at moving to full ASL. Milton is correct, one minor clarification is that only Area Target Type can be used to place large 5/8" acquisition counters in an empty hex. A hidden unit is 'discovered' during 'recon by fire' it only be due to an effective IFT result (PTC at least) and, if ordnanc...

Re: A12.15 - advancing into a nex with HIP unit?
Advancing into a HIP Foxhole at Night? Would you reveal the Foxhole immediately or beginning of CCPh like units? It looks to be immediate as the real unit enters the location, no wait until CCPh: 1.16 FORTIFICATIONS: All Fortification counters are set up hidden at night regardless of terrain, and r...

Re: ASL Round Table Talks
I'd be game but being in England it's the timing for the TT event that might be a deal stopper.

Re: LCP's Elst module
The copyright war happened a long time ago so we don’t need to get into that but all the 3PPs are really just gaming groups putting out projects that they like and see them (well most of them) as complimentary to the hobby and not parasitic to MMP. They all make the wheel go round and make things a...

Re: LCP's Elst module
LCP definitely has their own style with their HASLs and agree a bit too SW and vehicle heavy for me but at least they playtest it! I don't have any problems with their scenario packs. LCP has a tremendous bang for the buck. Most of George's historical modules are ~$30, give you 5-8 scenarios, somet...

Free copy of LCP 'GrossDeutchland Pack 1 scenario set
Looks like I bought an extra set since I poorly organized my scenario sets from LCP. Didn't notice I already had it. Not offered elsewhere. Let me know if you want it, I'll figure out tracked postage from UK and you can paypal me the postage cost for it if you want. PM me with email address please s...

Re: J187 In Deadly Combat AAR
Thanks for the interesting report. I do like scenarios with OB/VC trade-offs and they must be quite difficult to design for balance. Your picture reminds me of the day before I broke down and started clipping the 1/2 inch counters (instead of just the 5/8th-ers). The age old question -- does older a...

Re: LCP's Elst module
If LCP is going to churn Elst because there is demand for it, I'm interested as I don't play SK, but I hope he will include enough counters to play it for real, or will it be manufactured as VASL ready but unplayable in real life due to counter limitations? I don't like that publication tactic. I ha...

Re: Opinions on 'skulking' or 'going to ground'
It's useless complaining about skulking in ASL and equally useless detesting it as some kind of cheesy play. Good players are going to do it to win games and I've seen arguments which bolster that it realistically represents defenders keeping their heads well down and out of sight, limiting exposure...
