The Battle for Elst began on the evening of September 20th, 1944, when the bridge over the Waal in Nijmegen fell into Allied hands.

We tackle the monster scenario 'Knock Them Down!' from LCP's Steelworks module. We think it played out fairly close to history. The Highlanders were unable to dig out the well-fortified Germans, and Tigers showed up early to wreak havoc on the British Shermans.

Scott and I decided to venture to the island of Sicily and play a scenario from Advancing Fire’s new historical effort, Biazza Ridge (BR), focusing on battles during Operation Husky, the allied invasion of that island in July of 1943.

The Biazza Ridge maps are beautiful and historically accurate. The problem with this scenario, at least from our perspective of one playing, is that it appears to heavily favor the Americans.
