One of the great debates surrounding Advanced Squad Leader (besides IFT vs. IIFT) is whether it’s a “game” or a “simulation”. That answer is … yes, it’s both. To leverage the simulation aspects of the game one can adopt actual military doctrine when approaching a scenario. This video goes over the “METT-T” process which infantry leaders use as part of the Troop Leadership Process. Many players are utilizing this method already without knowing it.

This Tactical Tip deviates significantly from the previous ones in that it’s far longer and focuses on a topic outside the ASL ruleset itself. But this category of video seemed the logical place to put it. I hope you find it useful and/or informative.

If you’d like to support the channel and the creation of more ASL videos, there are two ways … You can donate or become a Youtube supporter.
