ASL AAR: The Best Defence (Playtest)

Here’s the historical situation:

Date: October 16, 1944
Location:
Aachen, Germany
Attacker:
German (Elements of 3. PanzerGrenadier Division)
Defender: American (Elements of 1st Infantry Division, 745th Tank Battalion)

The Americans were closing the ring around the city and, in a desperate attempt to widen the gap between two American pincers, the Germans repeatedly counterattacked the 1st Infantry Division following Colonel Gerhard Wilck’s motto “the best defence is a good offense”.
