A request was made regarding how I design ASL scenarios, so here we go. I look at the process of designing scenario S95, Makin Mayhem. Disclosure: I’m no “expert” at scenario design; there’s no correct way to design a scenario, and everyone has their own method.
I’m in no way advocating that this is the correct and only way to do it, nor am I “telling you how it should be.” This is the method that works for me, and any method that works for you is the only correct method.
Below are a couple pages from the scenario design document for the scenario Makin Mayhem (S95) that I speak to in this video.

Great session. Very interested in your approach to scenario design.
I think SK plus DoE OBA, simple bypass movement, your sniper harassment approach, some enhanced terrain and a few other items may be the best answer. Example – Do we need prisoners at all when you consider the supposed time frame (40 m hexes, 2 min time per turn)?
I applaud your decision to support SK. Thank you. Btw, I generally only play PTO as I was complete original SL grognard in the late 70’s and early 80’s and got my fill of the ETO. Never did ASL; got mad when they were going to charge me $25 just for a rulebook and dropped out completely for 30 years. Restarted with SK about 3 years ago. Keep up the good work!!
Prisoners in SK? No way! 😁
