Episode 59 – October 2, 2026.
In This Episode…
MMP news opens the show, and Neal bets his entire 401K the French Indochina module doesn’t make 2027. Then the wheel lands on Skulking Fixes. It’s a loaded one.
Keep in mind that the discussion is purely tongue-in-cheek, but skulking isn’t a rule. A unit Assault Moves out of sight, dodges Defensive Fire, then Advances right back in. It’s perfectly legal, and Neal still feels a little dirty every time he does it. Scott keeps it simple. Skulking’s for posers. Stew blames it for how scenarios get designed now. Nobody’s buying the realism argument either. Real squads didn’t run out of the building and come back for the next turn.
The guys float a few fixes. Fire into the empty hex and let the Residual FP hang around until the Advance Phase. Let a unit hunker down in place for better TEM instead of leaving. Pay a defender victory points for staying in the building. Scott’s fix is an SSR that eliminates any unit that skulks. It probably matters less in the average game than anyone thinks. Everyone still has an opinion. Next week, Rob from ASL Spotting Round makes it four.
